HIP HIP HORRAY...yesterday Paul and I went over with Ron our contractor to establish the outline of the house and...are you ready for this? Today we will break ground. We haven't signed our papers yet but Ron doesn't want to wait any longer...

And as far as project updates....started to really like the RED in my bathroom windows so we are going forward with that...I'm cleaning up the design by drawing a grid in AutoCAD. This will help keep the lines straight. I'm looking at this window as a possible design for the Great Room, the kitchen nook and the dinning room windows. Because they are all part of an open concept I need to take the design element through out all of them. Paul and I saw this in an Antique store in Seattle..
Lastly the Bird House is coming right along..Paul has done a great job putting it all together, next step is the top tower and then the roof...Isn't it wonderful...it's really tall but that will be great with our tall ceilings...can't wait to get it finished!!!

So the journey of the Bathroom Window has it a Snag.
We finally got it laid out and started to solder...and actually finished the soldering. There is a wide green boarder that will go around the outside but we are waiting for the windows that these will sit in to be framed in. That way we will make it exactly the right size to fit. So...after the core was completely soldered, I picked it up and set it into a window to examine what the colors of the glass would look like when natural light is coming through...
Wow...what do I do now, I have 3 more to make so do I remove the Red glass and replace it or just live with the red. The glass only shines RED when natural light is coming through the window...so during the day. In the evening and mornings it should look rust...hmmmm. Not sure what to do...any thoughts?

I also have another project going on...I'm building a wonderful bird house. I saw it at a furniture store but they wanted $300 for it...so picture in hand Paul and I stopped at Home Depot and we have begun the journey in making it...so far we have it all cut out and I have begun the scroll work...should have it finished this weekend...I'll let you know how it's going

I'm thinking that these are the end tables I want for the Great room with new leather couches.  Today I bought the rest on Guest Bedroom #1's furniture. We bought the bed a month ago and today I went and bought the dresser and mirror that I wanted. This isn't the exact dresser conf..I got a double dresser that is a little higher, not quite as wide and the top row is 3 smaller drawers instead of 2 large ones.

Wide Open Space

We went to Missouri for a few days and came back to this.  It's amazing! It doesn't even look like the same piece of land we stared with.  We were looking for an open feel and we got it. Bring on the sunshine!

We've changed the colors again on the stained glass windows. I'll upload the window with the new colors when I get home. We've thrown out the orange and now are using a red with orange piece we bought at the wholesalers. We are 98% done  with cutting and grinding. Next we will form fit and wrap. Then solder, within a week we should be ready to tackle the other windows in this set. There will be 4 identical windows in our Master bathroom. If you look at the front view of our house on the left hand side you will see 3 windows, this is where these windows will go with the 4th around the corner.
